The NPR Scicommers, a virtual community of mostly graduate students and academics in STEM working to build science communication skills, is hosting a happy hour at Optimism Brewing. The group supports its members in their efforts by helping them publish popular science articles and by holding monthly Mentor Chat webinars on scicomm topics. The community networks through its 1,200-member Slack, but is always looking to meet in person when the opportunity arises. Beer (only) is provided by the Brewery, and non-alcoholic drinks will be brought in. The group is looking forward to connecting with and learning from NSWA members!
