The Coast Fork Willamette Watershed Council welcomes Tara Davis and Rosario Franco for a presentation entitled "The Willamette River-Rio Laja, Mexico Twinning Project and Opportunities for Cross-Cultural Exchange.” This talk will discuss the similar issues facing Oregon’s Willamette and Mexico’s Rio Laja watersheds, the Twinning Project and most importantly, the cultural connections in watershed conservation. With cultural diversification, inclusion and conservation at the forefront, the Willamette-Laja Twinning Project has sparked new partnerships over the shared platforms of migratory birds, habitats, education for all ages, and watershed restoration. Event is free with a $5 suggested donation.
