In a "Science in the City" talk at the Pacific Science Center, Caitlin Bever and Adam Akullian will discuss “Portrait of an Epidemic: Mathematical Modeling in Modern Day Epidemiology.” These two scientists from the Institute for Disease Modeling at Intellectual Ventures construct computer models to guide global efforts toward the elimination and control of infectious diseases, such as HIV and malaria. Learn how they do it at this free event from 7pm to 9pm in the PACCAR Theater at the Pacific Science Center on August 14. Doors open at 6:40.
