A presentation on the waters and lands of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs. The presenters will take us through a history of the Tribe and its approach to natural resource management. The presentation is intended as a spring board for discussion about managing the natural resources of the western United States in the twenty-first century with an emphasis on tribal management of those resources.

PRESENTERS

Josh Newton
Josh is a private practice attorney in Bend, Oregon. Josh’s practice concentrates on dispute resolution with an emerging emphasis on natural resource and environmental disputes. Josh’s practice includes the representation of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs.

Robert “Bobby” Brunoe
Bobby is an enrolled member of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs. His ancestors come from the Wasco tribe, which is one of the Indian tribes that has inhabited the Columbia River since time immemorial. The Wasco tribe is a fishing culture.

All ages.
6:00 pm – 7:30 pm (Café opens at 5:00 pm.)
$7 per ticket, Members receive 20% discount.
