Registration page: NSWA EVENT - See ‘First Man’ with NSWA and Geoff Nunn from Museum of Flight

Join us for a screening of "First Man" at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20 at the Boeing IMAX Theater at Pacific Science Center. Geoff Nunn, adjunct curator for space history at The Museum of Flight, will join us after the movie at the MoPOP's Culture Kitchen to chat about how it represented Neil Armstrong and the Apollo 11 space mission that led him to become the first man to walk on the moon.

Nunn leads The Museum of Flight's efforts to tell the story of the first 50 years of human spaceflight and beyond. He holds a master’s degree in museology from the University of Washington. He has over a decade of experience working in science and technology museums as an educator and exhibit developer. He has presented on the Museum’s efforts to tell the story of the space program at conferences nationwide, and also regularly writes about space-related topics for Aloft magazine.

Please purchase your ticket before attending the movie, which runs two hours and 21 minutes (plus trailers). We'll meet at 4 p.m. at the Culture Kitchen inside MoPop (enter at corner of Harrison St. and Fifth Ave. N. and look for Matt Vivion) to chat about the movie. Museum tickets are not required for entry. The cafe closes at 5 p.m.

This is a social event, not a lecture. NSWA has hosted similar events for The Martian, The Arrival and Life. Attendance has ranged from five to a dozen. Please join us! If you have questions, please contact Matt.
