Whether you’re a print journalist, multimedia producer, or PIO, interviewing is hugely important to your work. This month, we’ll delve into best practices for interviewing sources: how to prepare, put your interviewees at ease, ask questions that will get you the details you need, and suit your medium (print, audio, or video).
Our panelists include:
- Madeline Ostrander, a freelance journalist and writing instructor at Hugo House
- Mike Baker, investigative reporter at The Seattle Times
- Gabriel Spitzer, host and senior producer of KNKX’s Sound Effect
- Eilis O’Neill, Earthfix reporter
The event will begin at 6:30 p.m., and will be followed by Q&A – come with your burning questions! After, we’ll adjourn to the Brave Horse Tavern for food, drink, and discussion.
