Our board is comprised of 9 people — a president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, and 5 at-large positions — and we hold annual elections for each board position. Current board members and positions are listed on our website. If you have questions about elections or any of the positions, please contact current President Jane C. Hu at hujanec@gmail.com.
If you’re interested in running for the board, please send your name, the position you are running for, and a candidate statement to nominations@nwscience.org. Please limit your candidate statements to no more than 250 words. Past candidates have described their professional background, why they are running, or ideas they’d like to implement as a board member. (Last year’s statements are at the NSWA website.)
The deadline to declare your candidacy is 11:59pm on Friday, December 14. Voting will be open to members through mid-December and early January, and results will be announced at our annual party.
