Sharon Bertsch McGrayne’s new book, A Lab of One’s Own: One Woman’s Personal Journey Through Sexism in Science, co-authored with Dr. Rita Colwell, is available now. Dr. Colwell, a University of Washington graduate, is the former director of the National Science Foundation. She and Sharon tell the story of how she resisted sexual harassment and made major discoveries in infectious disease.
