Dennis Schatz is prepping us for the major solar eclipse this summer. His new children’s book, When the Sun Goes Dark, enlists Diana and Sammy, their grandparents, and some ping-pong balls to explain what will happen to the sun on August 21, 2017. Dennis also has a book of hands-on activities to get middle school-aged kids ready for the big event. image: NASA
