For New York Journal of Books, Adrienne Ross Scanlan reviews “Ever Green: Saving Big Forests to Save the Planet,” a nonfiction book by John W. Reid and Thomas E. Lovejoy about the megaforests that are crucial to both a healthy planetary climate and human cultures. She praises the book’s descriptions of the complex ecosystems of these forests and the solutions being implemented by scientists, Indigenous peoples and others to save these special places.
