We know you like science. And we know you like fun. Why not combine them — and add beer?

On Wednesday, September 22, NSWA and Infinity Box Theatre Project will be hosting a science game show called “Matters of Gravity” at Peddler Brewing in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood.

This will be a science-based, NPR-style game show. Two 3-person teams, each with a couple of science writers and a science geek/theater artist, will compete for bragging rights. The hybrid event will be live-streamed from Peddler Brewing’s outdoor, covered beer garden.

And we need contestants!

Question categories include “What’s the Difference?” “Odd One Out,” “Chain Reactions,” and more. Don’t worry about needing to be a science know-it-all or part-time comedian with a hit Netflix show in order to qualify. Neither are required. You just have to be willing to have fun — in public.

If you’re up for this adventure, please contact David Mills, Infinity Box Artistic Director and NSWA Board Member, at davidm@infinitybox.org.

We also need an audience: So put Wednesday, September 22 on your calendar and stay tuned for additional details, including the start time and a link to the livestream for remote viewers.

Finally, we need as many questions as we can find (coming up with them is a surprisingly challenging type of fun). If you’d like to contribute but not compete, please contact David Mills, who will send you a full list of question categories — after you swear to secrecy.

Matters of Gravity: There’s nothing trivial about it.
