Welcome to the NSWA Book Club!  Each month, we will be reading a compelling science journalism book and then getting together with the author to discuss it. Topics will vary, but the focus will be on members and local authors, with the occasional outstanding book from outside the region. The book club will be hosted by NSWA Vice President Starre Vartan and board member Ian Rose, and accessible to all members via Zoom.

May: “Flush: The Remarkable Science of an Unlikely Treasure” by Bryn Nelson on May 8th at 7pm.

June: “Beloved Beasts: Fighting for Life in an Age of Extinction” by Michelle Nijhuis on June 5th at 7pm.

If you haven’t read them, you can purchase a copy at the links above, or even better, from your favorite local bookseller. Get reading, and we’ll be in touch with more details on the next books soon!
