Rain rerouted Lynda Mapes‘ planned tour of Volunteer Park on June 15 to Canterbury Ale House, where she gave a talk to members and guests on her new book, Witness Tree.
Mapes, Seattle Times environment reporter, discussed the year she spent living with a 100-year-old oak tree in Harvard Forest and how she used the experience to bring a new and deeply personal perspective to the complex story of climate change.
