New NSWA member Graciela Matrajt profiles local researchers for the Seattle Association for Women in Science. One article tells the story of a scientist going in the unusual direction of industry to academia (see page 6) and the other introduces us to the founder of a nonprofit organization to improve cancer screening (see page 2). Graciela is also a website creator, developing a site for the wonderfully named Cosmic Dust Group at the University of Washington.
